PAC Leadership Changes; New Program Launched

Beginning in September, the MACPA Political Action Committee (PAC) will be under new leadership as John P. Pridnia takes the helm. This is an exciting time for the PAC, as the Association works to continue the devoted efforts of longtime PAC Board Chair Julius A. Otten to increase the CPA profession’s voice in Lansing and protect the integrity of the CPA designation.

MACPA PAC receives annual contributions from an average of nine percent of 16,000+ members – meaning more than 90 percent are relying on others’ leadership to ensure their professional well being. To take PAC to the next level, Michigan CPAs must increase the involvement of members.

To that end, a great, new program provides an easier way for members to make a difference. Similar to a gym membership, or perhaps automobile insurance, it is now possible to make an annual contribution to the PAC as a monthly or quarterly deduction from a credit card or checking account.

For just $8.34 per month, members can join the MACPA PAC Capitol Club Blue ($100 annual contribution) or for $20.84 per month – the Capitol Club Red ($250 annual contribution)!
