Staff Member Receives Scholarship

MACPA staffer John Lindley recently was awarded the Ralph A. MacMullan Scholarship from the Michigan Society of Association Executives. The scholarship provides funding for attending the Institute for Organization Management, a distinguished educational forum for association leaders.

Lindley is government relations and volunteer services manager at the MACPA. He is responsible for coordinating the MACPA's legislative efforts, including development of grassroots involvement and management of the political action committee.

Lindley, who just marked his third anniversary at MACPA, also oversees the Professional Ethics program and supervises administration of the association’s task forces and volunteers.

“John is a terrific asset to our staff,” notes MACPA President and CEO Peggy Dzierzawski, who also was a MacMullan scholarship recipient early in her career. “The remarkable educational opportunity afforded him at Institute is twofold: Teachers provide outstanding classroom learning, plus association colleagues from around the country provide great professional networking opportunities.”
