MACPA Took Top Honors from State Association

MACPA’s Management Information Show (MIS) recently earned top honors in an awards program highlighting the best work of associations across Michigan.

MIS received the Diamond Award in the Meetings and Expositions Category in a competition sponsored by the Michigan Society of Association Executives (MSAE). The entry also snagged a new award, Best of Show, because it achieved the best score of any category and exceeded expectations.

The MACPA was also honored with a new award, Best in Show, for achieving the best score of all the categories.

“I am very proud of our entire award-winning staff,” said MACPA President and CEO Peggy Dzierzawski. “MIS is a successful event because of the tremendous effort put forth by our entire team.”

In a congratulatory note to the staff, MACPA Chair of the Board John Higgins said, “While the awards are certainly important, it is the fact that they truly reflect the value and strength of the MACPA team. As a member of the association, and particularly as Chair of the Board this year, I am very proud of all that you do.”

The awards were presented at MSAE’s annual Diamond Awards Banquet on September 23, 2004, in Plymouth. Nearly 250 association executives attended the event to recognize excellence and innovation among associations.
