MACPA Accounting Blitz Launches; Your
Participation is NeededThe 2006 Fall MACPA Accounting Blitz,
held in conjunction with Junior Achievement (JA), makes it possible for
thousands of Michigan elementary and middle school students to learn
critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Throughout the spring and fall, MACPA Accounting Blitzes reach students in
communities across the state including Detroit, Grand Rapids, Traverse City,
Flint, Saginaw and Lansing.
Whether you are a CPA, an accounting professional or even an accounting
student, your participation is needed. As an MACPA Accounting Blitz
volunteer, you will participate in a training session that equips you for a
one-time stint in the classroom you are assigned. It’s as simple as that.
A few key points about the Blitz:
- Classes range from kindergarten through eighth grade.
- During your training, JA provides you with child-friendly lesson
plans and activities covering various business-minded topics.
- Your involvement in the Blitz is a great way to support your
community, make a difference in a child's life and give exposure to the
accounting profession.
- You can also partner with a friend or colleague and volunteer
together and make it even more fun and rewarding.
- The MACPA Accounting Blitz dates and training session dates are
