Our Leslie Murphy Leads the AICPA
For the first time in six decades, a Michigander will take the helm of
the AICPA. Leslie Murphy, group
managing partner of Plante & Moran, will become the AICPA chair at the Institute’s October annual
meeting.
CPAs Can Contribute to the Katrina Efforts
Hurricane Katrina has taken a devastating toll on
thousands of victims who are trying to piece their lives back together and
regain a semblance of normalcy. In a coordinated response between the MACPA, AICPA
and other state societies, the MACPA has identified several ways that CPAs
can
assist with the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.

The MACPA believes that the future of the profession depends on
recruiting excellent students and preparing them for leadership roles. We
provide many career resources for high school and college students. As
Incoming Chair of the Board, I’m especially excited to tell you about our
