Speaking at a Career Day? The MACPA Can Help! School is already well underway, and soon your child may come home with a note – asking you to participate in a career day! No need to fret – the MACPA has resources available to assist you with any speaking opportunity. If you have been asked to speak at a school, be sure to visit the MACPA web site for resources such as the Speakers Toolkit and a PowerPoint presentation. The MACPA can also provide you with various handouts for students, such as book covers, book marks, and more. In addition, you can inform the teacher of the CPA iPAC, which is a tool providing lesson plans in accounting as well as other relevant and important information regarding careers in accounting. Contact Kristen Benvenuti at the MACPA for more information or to obtain these handouts. If you have an interest in speaking at schools, the MACPA can set you up with a speaking engagement through the Speakers Bureau program. Teachers often contact the MACPA in search of CPAs and accounting professionals to come speak to their students. The MACPA then contacts members of the Speakers Bureau to match up a CPA or accounting professional with the teachers’ requests. If you would like to become part of the Speakers Bureau, contact Kristen Benvenuti. |
