Learn About the Most
Crucial Issues Facing the Accounting Profession at Spring Members Advisory
Forum
Attend the
Spring
Members Advisory Forum on May 11 in Lansing to hear about the most
crucial issues and the latest developments impacting the accounting
profession in 2005. Top national and local leaders, including AICPA
President and CEO Barry Melancon, will tell you how regulatory revisions and
legislative activity are shaping the future and setting the direction for
CPAs. You’ll want to make sure you’re in attendance so you can bring this
valuable information back to your colleagues and accounting students. As an
educator member of the MACPA, you are invited to attend the Forum for free
and bring students with you, also at no cost. The Forum will be held from
8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – register
online today!

as well (possibly by offering them extra credit) to provide them with a
hands-on learning experience. Blitzes will be held in May at schools in
Detroit,
Saginaw and
Flint. Volunteer
online
or contact the Member Services
Department at 248.267.3700 for more information. Be sure to refer us to

Get Actively Involved
in Your Professional Association
If you’d like to take part in laying the groundwork for MACPA’s future
educator initiatives, join the Educator Task Force. The Task Force is
comprised of accounting educators from two- and four-year institutions
across the state – you need not be an MACPA member to serve. The Task
Force’s objectives include strengthening the relationship between educators,
CPAs and the MACPA; serving as a resource for educators, and in turn,
accounting students; building awareness of the CPA profession and its
opportunities; and communicating changes affecting the CPA profession and/or
educators. If you’re interested in joining, contact the
Volunteer Services Coordinator at
248.267.3700.
