Notify Students of Computerized Exam Trouble Spots
The AICPA recently reported that 23,000 sections were scheduled for the first window of the computerized CPA Exam, which ran from April through May. Good news – the overall pass rate was 45%, compared to the historical 31% pass rate for all sections. However, you’ll want to notify students of two key trouble areas: 1) Some candidates are having trouble using the copy and paste feature in the exam research section. To address this issue, new explicit instruction screens will appear on the exam beginning this month. Inform your students to take special note of these instructions while taking the exam. 2) Students are arriving at the testing site without their Notice to Schedule paperwork. Inform students that they will need this, as well as two valid forms of ID, to take the exam.
