As you review and remit your annual MACPA dues in July, it’s vital to also support the MACPA Political Action Committee (PAC). By simply adding a PAC contribution to your annual dues, you have made an impact in ensuring the future of your profession.

The Association’s PAC is an advocacy tool vital to the success of all members, as decisions made in the legislature each day have a lasting impact on every aspect of accounting in Michigan. Strong relationships with our decision makers are imperative to the advancement and protection of the CPA designation. Our ability to build these solid member/legislator relationships depends, in large part, on the strength of our PAC. The fact remains that as our PAC becomes more substantial, so will our voice in Lansing.

Active PAC contributors gain valuable access to Lansing’s decision makers and are invited to exclusive legislator-attended events. Take this opportunity to show Michigan’s lawmakers that you care about the future the profession and will not sit idly by while accounting policy and regulation decisions are made.

Simply adding a PAC contribution to your dues check goes a long way to fortify our advocacy efforts and improve the CPA image. Also consider joining the Capitol Club, an elite donor program, which recognizes members who contribute $100, $250 or $500 to the MACPA PAC.

The suggested amount for your voluntary PAC contribution is already added into the total on your dues statement – making your contribution as easy as including this amount in your check or credit card authorization.
