Members of the MACPA Federal Tax Task Force met with representatives from the IRS in June, to discuss e-file, estate tax, procedural, small business and other issues. Returning to a tradition of meeting each year to discuss issues pertinent to taxpayers and tax preparers throughout Michigan, this is the first time the two groups have met since the IRS drastically reorganized their internal structure.

The Task Force provides the IRS with a list of specific questions a few weeks prior to the meeting. The IRS presents their answers, and the two parties discuss follow-ups over lunch. Access the entire Q & A on the MACPA web site.
