Regional Advisory Council Gets New Name, Reaffirms Purpose

Barry Melancon, AICPA President and Keynote Speaker will present on a variety of subjects, including Sarbanes-Oxley, peer review, small firm advocacy and the AICPA’s response to student recruitment and image enhancement.

MACPA’s Regional Advisory Council (RAC) has been renamed Members Advisory Forum to better reflect its member-driven focus; and the new name helps clarify the purpose of this semi-annual meeting. All members are invited to attend Members Advisory Forum sessions, held in the spring and fall.

Members Advisory Forum brings our members firsthand information on professional issues, top-notch speakers and updates on state-level activities while, most importantly, gathering feedback through table discussions and focus groups.

“While past RAC attendees primarily have been chairs or vice chairs of MACPA boards and task forces, opening the doors to all members helps to expand the information sharing process,” says MACPA President Peggy Dzierzawski.

The Spring Members Advisory Forum is slated for May 12, 2004, and the fall event is scheduled for September 21, 2004. Mark your calendar now for these events and watch E-News for meeting notices.
