Who to Contact for Licensing Issues
The Bureau of Commercial Services within the Department of Labor and Economic Growth is pleased to announce that Carol Flores is the new licensing administrator for the accountancy profession. Carol replaces Suzanne Jolicoeur, who retired in April 2007. Carol will work closely with the Board of Accountancy and her staff will process new CPA license applications. Carol will also be responsible for the administration of five other regulatory programs and the centralized renewal processing for 27 occupations. Carol can be reached at 517.241.8205.

Renewals Are Completed
Renewals of licenses and registrations were due by December 31, 2007. Late renewal applications were accepted through February 29, 2008. We are pleased to say that 48 percent of all licensees and registrants who renewed by December 31, renewed online. This success is a direct result of the efforts of the MACPA staff to encourage its members to renew online. A special "thanks" to the MACPA staff who worked on this project.
