Leading up to April 17, millions of Michigan taxpayers garnered tax tips from MACPA members through several media initiatives.

CPA Paul Taros answers a tax question from a caller at the WXYZ Call For Action.

These media appearances included two PBS programs, which were underwritten by the MACPA, titled Ask the CPAs. The MACPA also participated in three CPA Call-In programs that aired on television stations in Detroit, Flint and Kalamazoo.

In addition to the TV appearances, several CPAs participated in tax-related interviews with radio stations and print publications.

WXYZ-TV Reporter Joanne Purtan encourages taxpayers to call in with their tax questions during the evening newscasts for WXYZ Call For Action.

The MACPA and its Communications Task Force are committed to public service projects and financial literacy education. As a part of this undertaking, members volunteer time and resources to help educating Michigan taxpayers.
