Getting on Board

To speed up the recruitment process and ensure that laptops, phones and other office equipment are ready for new workers on their first day, many companies are implementing on-boarding software. These programs typically focus on specific parts of the process, namely
pre-hiring, hiring and retention. By automating these processes, companies can achieve cost savings and boost productivity. The business-consulting firm BearingPoint, for instance, says on-boarding software allows it to save $14 or more per new employee and distribute and process
new-employee documents in minutes rather than days. Recruitmax's Recruitmax Corporate Edition and Tercina Inc.'s Enboard.com are just a couple examples of on-boarding programs.
