Continuing Education
January 1, 2008 is Just Around the Corner, Are You Prepared?

The new Michigan Business Tax will take effect on January 1, 2008, which means there are only a couple of months left to learn this new tax. The MBT encompasses many different elements: a new tax on modified gross receipts and business income, a unitary combined reporting system, new credits for wages, investment and research, and much more.

Learning a new tax in a short amount of time can be overwhelming and frustrating, especially one as detailed and complex as the Michigan Business Tax. To help alleviate some of this stress, the MACPA has added new education courses to our CPE catalog dedicated to the Michigan Business Tax.

The Association is offering Michigan Business Tax sessions in December to help you prepare for the January 1, 2008 implementation date. The MACPA will continue to add new courses on the Michigan Business Tax to the CPE roster. For more information, or to register for one of these sessions, please contact the MACPA CPE department at 248.267.3700.
