Member Admonished
Member Jerry L. Stephan, CPA, of Traverse City has been formally admonished
by the Michigan Association of CPAs (MACPA) and American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) as a result of settling charges made by
the Professional Ethics Task Force of the MACPA that he violated the AICPA/MACPA
Code of Professional Conduct.
Mr. Stephan has neither admitted nor denied the Task Force’s charges that he
violated the following rules of the AICPA/MACPA Code of Professional
Conduct: Rule 102 – Integrity and Objectivity, Rule 503(c) –
Commissions and Referral Fees and Rule 501 – Acts
Discreditable.
